Default My trading strategies

The most profitable strategies I use are from Avi Frister and I like his Forex Runner day trading strategy best. But I also like to use a 60ema strategy I learned a while ago. If you use a charting package like Netdania, Metatrader, etc. they allow you to add your own moving average bands on a chart. I like to add the 60ema and set the bands 10 pips above and below the 60 ema. Then if price breaks the high/or low of the day, and breaks the bands, I will go long or short depending on which price was broken. I also only use this method from 2AMs and 11AMs EST because outside those timeframes it hasn't been very predictable. That's another reason I like the forex runner strategy because I can use it all day long.

BTW - Today has been a lousy day for these strategies because the markets very slow and no doubt its because of NFP Friday tomorrow. I don't usually like Fridays but I love NFP Friday

Happy trading!

I just bought the course a couple days ago from Avi Frister and I am currently trying to learn his forex runner strategy. So how are you doing with his strategy?

Like I am having some trouble with it(maybe you can help me out) it is mostly with spotting the trends. In his book he really does not go into showing you how to spot if the trend will be going up or down. He just shows you when to place the order(once you established the trend) and when to get out.

I understand how his strategy works I just don't know when I should say to myself ok this looks like it is going up now and I am should put his strategty into effect.

So any tutorials or something you could recommend or tips to help me out?

chobo2,

The first thing is not to overthink these strategies. That’s why I like them because they’re simple. I stick to the first 2 strategies; the cash cow and the forex runner. The cash cow is a swing trade that will only occur 3-4 times a month on average. This is where you might be thinking of a trend, or at least a short-trend where the pairs move 140+ pips in one day. The forex runner strategy you don’t need a trend to trade. I’m not sure if he mentions this in the ebook, but stick with the GBP/USD pair for the forex runner because that pair moves a lot more than the EUR/USD and you will get many more trades and many more successful trades using the GBP/USD pair.

I do very well with these strategies. I haven’t seen the cash cow pattern in over a week so I would expect that’s coming soon. It could be from todays NFP report so we’ll see. I trade the forex runner strategy and have had many more winning days than BE or losing ones. I had a loss yesterday trying to play the forex runner strategy because the pairs started moving sideways most likely because of NFP today. Once NFP is out of the way, then I’m ready to get going again. I’m also not crazy about Friday trading and I try my best to close all my positions before the weekend. I also try to not trade after 11am EST on any day if I can help it and especially on Fridays.

Oh I know not too overthink it too much but sometimes I just do I am only to private message you with some questions I hope you don't mind.

I don't want to ask them here otherwise I will go too much into the strategy and people here might figure out how to do it and the person who made it won't get his rightfully deserved money.

Fair enough. You can PM me if you like.

BTW - What a wild day this NFP Friday turned out to be. Did you see the wild up and down swings today? Sunday/Monday should be very interesting to say the least.

I'm also thinking of buying his e-book. It's just that it sounds a bit too good to be true. Can any of you two who are already using Avi's strategies post a track record of your trades?

Hi all,

I just got an email from Mark McRae about the Avi Fristers methods and I just want o know how good are they?

As I have seen it just seems too good to be true. Can someone give me on average profit/loss per week using this method?

Also say whether or not it is worth purchasing?
