Like any professional they try not to show their hands, thus they try not to influence the market at all by scaling the large position in, in a market that can absorb their positions without impacting on the market at all.

@ DrForex. Thank you for your reply. It was both insightful and helpful.

@ diots general. The link you proposed wasn't to an article, but to a bunch of forex related topics, non of which mention anything to do with hedge funding. Perhaps before pasting your message, check the actual topic people are asking about? Thanks all the same.

Well the answer to the question is not given and I am looking for the exact and accurate answer, it is a good question and how much money would affect the fx market. The professionals always try to influence the market and hold a position at large scale.

This is not right.

Professionals would love to influence the market but certainly not by holding large scale positions (relative to the market size and their own capital).

Ask the professionals at Long Term Capital Management or Lehmann Bros, or Amaranth Advisors or many others.

I do not think there is an individual that is capable manipulating the market with MONEY, and non of us can even come close to manipulating the market not even in a 100 year, the market it self is HUGE HUMANGUS GINORMOUS like really really big, maybe a group of banks or a corporation of multi billion dollars can make something happen but its gonna be small but with news thats a different thing, coz i believe news manipulates the traders flow in placing or avoiding a trade, thats wheren the movement happen, and all of this are my personal speculations with no solid evidence :D so pls do not qoute me :D

I think Forex isn't easy to get affected because Forex's value is 4 TRILLION USD.

No billionaire spend money to affect Forex, he might get bankrupt all his money
